The Fiery Furnace and we are not talking about our feet
Updated: Jul 26, 2020
Live blog today and you can see where we are walking from Machynlleth to Tre Taliesin
We arrived in Machynlleth after Rhian being tailgated by an angry man and Helen has a surreal conversation with her lovely MIL about this blog. Photo of the clock in the centre of town. Public loos are shut!
Astonishing beauty
lots of astonishing beauty. Lots and lots of hills to climb up and down often though wonderful woodland.
We have now climbed up the mountain above Furnace and we can see the Dyfi estuary ahead of us. With Ynys Las on the left where we walked earlier this holiday. To the right is Aberdyfi. And we have walked that mountain as far as Machynlleth. We have around 3.5 miles left to walk today. Tired but it’s worth every step. Rhian has only threatened to lamp me with my water bottle once which is quite good, I think.
and we are done. Knackered but excited at closing The gap from last year
STOP PRESS
as we were driving back to the car, the cows, thwarted in their attempts to scare Rhian on the walk, charged up the road to terrify her one last time, it was most amusing,
Fab photos . The cows knew you were visiting , Rhian 😲
The lovely MIL in the surreal convo must have been Jani. :) Super photos.
The cows want their milk back. Well done both! The walk looked breath-taking in both senses of the phrase 🐮
